Villa Ernest

Stay in a city, without sacrificing space.

Villa Ernest, a vacation rental for nine and good for five stars, lets you look out on Ypres' iconic towers, from the Belfry over the Cloth Halls to St. Martin's Church, and wake up in the heart of the city.
Close to In Flanders Fields Museum, the Grote Markt and the Menin Gate.

And yet tranquility prevails here.
Thanks to the walled garden that seems to have its own microclimate. That led to an ancient yew, a kiwi and a fig tree.
Terraces enough to enjoy both the BBQ, the Saturday carillon concert and that unexpected greenery. Because installed on the elevated terrace, the city suddenly seems very far away.

That this vacation home has plenty of space is no coincidence. After all, some 30 years ago this was a storefront with a sewing workshop.
The entire building was thoroughly renovated and equipped with every comfort.

Three bedrooms with three ensuite bathrooms, each with a separate toilet. From gas fireplace to home automation to underfloor heating. Not to mention the convenient private parking with charging station for three cars and covered bicycle storage.

The comfort injection was also followed by a style update. Good for a designer kitchen, air conditioning in the three rooms with extra long box springs, an ensuite bathroom and separate toilet each, but also striking wallpaper, nice tile accents and of course a picture of Ernest.
His life story is one full of perseverance and inspired his great-granddaughter to breathe new life into the family home.

And the rest is history...
