Sing along to the greatest Flemish classics on the Grote Markt in Ypres!
Vlaanderen Zingt brings people together to sing in public squares and markets. During Vlaanderen Zingt’s sing-along evenings, the audience takes center stage. Visitors sing popular songs that are part of our collective memory, encouraged and accompanied by a group of “ambience makers” on stage. The repertoire consists largely of Dutch-language songs, but we also sing hits in other languages together—both older and newer ones. Everyone receives a songbook from us with all the lyrics, and the group singing is guided from the stage. And we turn it into a big folk festival where people can dance too!
